Machine Build Apprentice:

All the Following descriptions would be learned and Under the Supervision of a Senior Level, Mechanical Build, Job Leader. Maris also is part of the NYS Machine Build Apprentice Program. Some of the tasks below will be the skills learned.

Fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints with the knowledge of machine construction using hand tools and power tools. Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers. Tests operation of assembly after verifying alignment and the tolerances of moving parts.

 

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Master Blueprint Reading: Proficient at interpreting and working with detailed blueprints to ensure precision.
• Precision-Driven: Skilled in using a variety of precision measuring tools to deliver accurate results.
• Machining Know-How: Experience with basic machining, including mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Team Player: Enthusiastic about working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Dependable Work Ethic: Punctual and reliable, ready to contribute to a high-performance team.
